1. Remove the battery cover to locate the battery pack inside the crown.
2. Slide the battery pack lid down to open it. Remove the pull tab to activate the batteries.
3. Press the On/Off button to cycle through the light settings (Solid, Blinking, Flashing, Off). A red light on the battery pack indicates that the hat is on.

How Long Will the Lights Last and What Batteries Do I Need?

Your Neon Cowboys® Hat should last over 8 hours on the solid light setting and it will last for even longer on the Blink and Flash modes.

How Do I Add a Chin Strap?

Starting with one of our chin straps (which can be purchased here), 

1. Press the button to remove the fastener and expose just the string.
2. Put one of the metal ends of the strap through the middle ventilation hole on one side and loop through the front ventilation hole. Then mirror this looping on the other side. You want the loose ends to be hanging from the ventilation hole closest to the front of the hat.
3. While pressing the button on the fastener, place the metals ends of the strap through the holes on the fastener and pull them through together. Release the button at the desired length to hold the strap in place.
